The Foolish Monkey

by Keval, 7.5 years, Mumbai

There once lived a boy and a girl. One day they were roaming in the forest. They saw a monkey. "This monkey is hurt," said the girl. "Lets take him home." And they named the monkey, Monu.
Monu was very foolish and greedy. He always wanted the biggest share. But the boy and girl loved him very much. He would only eat fruits and nuts. Then one day he got hurt and started crying very very loudly. And the boy and the mother called the doctor. The doctor put medical herbs and cotton balls. The monkey stopped crying and ate as much as he wanted. He ate apples, bananas and oranges. He also ate walnuts, cashew nuts and dried grapes. He went to sleep for 2 hours and 30 minutes. He woke up at 12:00 midnight. The boy and the girl were sleeping. The mother woke up when the monkey started jumping in the hall, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. He made a very big mess by breaking glasses, eating fruits and nuts.
Monu was happy, foolish and greedy. But with a very very big mess, mother was angry. The boy, girl and mother threw him out of the house to the forest and on the tiger's head. The tiger was catching a deer. The tiger killed the monkey and ate him up.

The end.
