The case of why Santa's sleigh wasn't working in the North Pole or nowhere

by Renee, 7 years, Boston, USA

One day in the north pole as usual Santa was getting on his sleigh. The bag of presents was very heavy. As he was getting on his sleigh, it wasn't working when he started it! Santa was very startled. He went and called people, but they were either sleeping or thinking that they might freeze to death.
Aha! Maybe the snow gets in the wheels! No, the sleigh doesn't have any wheels at all! Santa thought and thought.... People were waiting. it was 11:19pm! Santa had to think fast. What can he do? This was an EMERGENCY!
Then the snow stopped, and the sleigh started! I know! Snow gets in all  my reindeer's eyes said Santa. Santa was happy because his sleigh worked again! UH-OH it broke down again! Now what was wrong? Was it the snow again??
No, it had stopped snowing already. Now what? It was getting closer and closer to midnight. Santa remembered real reindeer can't fly. Maybe the batteries were out. Yeah! they were! Santa fixed everything, and got on time to deliver the presents to kids all over the world! :-)

The end.
